What does Pasture Raised, Grain Finished mean?

Our cows are raised on lush pasture for their whole lives; they are supplemented with a locally sourced commodity ration to give you the unbeatable taste and marbling of high-quality beef.

Is your beef antibiotic and steroid free?

Yes, the beef you are buying from Powell Farms is 100% antibiotic, steroid and growth hormone free.

Pick-up and Delivery options available?

You are always welcome to pick up your order on the farm during our open farm store hours of Thursdays and Fridays 4:00 PM-6:00 PM and Saturdays 10 AM- 1:00 PM. You can also purchase straight from the farm store during those times.

If you live in the local area (Calhoun, Adairsville, Resaca, Plainville, Fairmont, Sugar Valley) and place a $100.00 minimum order we will deliver it for $15. If your order is over $250 you can receive free delivery using the code FREEDELIVERY at checkout.

PLEASE NOTE: We deliver every Tuesday. All orders must be made by 12:00PM on Sunday in order to be on that week’s delivery schedule. You will receive an email with an estimated delivery time and if you are not able to be at home to receive your order, we request that you leave a cooler by your door with Ice to hold your order until you are able to get home.

Powell Farms LLC is NOT responsible or liable for your purchase once it is delivered if you are not able to receive it in person.

Do you have any pick-up locations that aren’t local?

What is Tallow?

Tallow is the rendered suet fat (fat from around the organs of a cow). We use a process of removing, simmering and clarifying the suet until it is a pure tallow. We sell this as a pure tallow, or we use it in our skin care items. Beef tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins that are vital for various bodily functions, including immune support, bone health, cellular function and skin health. Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is one polyunsaturated omega-6 fat found in beef fat and linked to potential health benefits such as preventing plaque buildup in the arteries (atherosclerosis). Since the composition of beef tallow is similar to natural oils produced by skin, it can be used as a moisturizer and is gentle on sensitive skin. CLA has anti-inflammatory benefits that help lock in moisture and reduce oxidation, which, along with the fat-soluble vitamins in beef tallow, may improve skin’s elasticity and overall healthy appearance when applied topically.
